James Hensley, CarsEtc.Com's President and Chief Car Buyer, while at the age of only 19, had already logged 6 years in the
food industry and while busing a table one night received some good 'ole fashion advice that prompted an,
aha moment, that forever changed his life! An that advice, "Find
something that you love to do and would do everyday of your life for
free and figure out how to make a career out of it." With this advice, a
few simple goals, a borrowed $2000 and a couple used cars, Cars Etc...Inc was launched in May of 1983.
Everyday here at Cars Etc...Inc, we set out to be a different kind of auto dealer. One that not only provides a laid back relaxed car buying atmosphere, but also creates a feeling of connection and community with those who give us the opportunity to fulfill their vehicle needs. This has been true since, James opened our first dealership in 1983 and holds true to this day. We are fortunate to say we now maintain over 300 vehicles in stock at 3 locations here in Knoxville, TN.
